Feelin' the love...

Had yesterday and today off. Really relaxing so far. Currently, I’m occupying the table on my porch, writing letters, sending emails, planning Tom and I’s trip to Portland and sipping on a 1369 iced coffee (my favorite!).

Last night, I got to spend the evening with one of my closest friends who I haven't seen in about a year. She’s back on the east coast briefly and it was so wonderful to catch up. We literally just talked straight for 6 hours. I have to say, I’m a pretty lucky girl to have such terrific friends. Although I wish 2 of them didn’t live so far away (another excuse to travel!), I’m thankful that 1 of them shares a door with me. I am filled with so much love everyday because of the wonderful people in my life.

Spent today doing errands and walking around Cambridge. Still in the process of looking for an apartment... tomorrow we're looking at 6 places with this one guy I've been working with which seem promising and then we have a meeting at this converted warehouse-turned-luxury-apartments in Kendall. The building in Kendall looks BEAUTIFUL, it's just whether or not they have units that we can afford. I would love to live there. In general, I'm definitely a “0 to 60” type of person. I’m extremely enthusiastic, somewhat impatient in certain areas of my life, and I fall in love fast. Relating this to apartment hunting, I’m making a huge effort to be realistic and practical. Easier said then done my friend.

Alright, I’ve got letters to write and a book to finish. Laters baby.

50 shades of busy...

And then it was June...

...I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to these summer months. I have so many trips planned on the horizon and projects to complete! My biggest, most pressing, stressful and exciting “project” is finding a new apartment for September and figuring out what to get my mom and Jacqui for their wedding! I’m looking forward to a visit from Tom’s family (LOVE them), a week in Portland, OR, a trip down to visit my mom in Provincetown, a staff camping trip in Maine, my mother's WEDDING(!!!!) and a secret birthday trip that I plan to surprise Tom with in August ...and much, much more! Bring it on summer, I’m ready for you.

Salt Lake Photo Diary, part 2...

Today was for sleeping in and going for walks with Tabitha. Today was for lazy time spent on the porch and watching Harry Potter. Today was for celebrations and being with family. Today was for sore feet (from too much dancing... who I am I kidding, there's no such thing!) and beautiful weddings in the evening sun. Congratulations Uncle Steve and Aunt Sandy, today was for you.

Salt Lake Photo Diary, part 1...

Photo descriptions, reading from left to right...

1. Layover in Chicago. Felt like the biggest airport in the world. It took me about 20 minutes to walk from one terminal to the next!
2. Breakfast of champions. mmmm.
3. Best way to pass the time on the plane: Season 2 of Downton Abby.
4. My Aunt and Uncle's house in Salt Lake. Feels like home to me.
5. Brad in his "Hop Hut"... 7 different kinds of hops!
6. Me and Tabby :)
7. Mani/pedi's with Tab, Janet, Quentin and Tab.
8. Sleeping Molly! (In Tabitha's violin case)
9. My sleeping quarters for the weekend. Now that's a sweet set up.
10. Making salmon burgers.

Dear Friday...

I'm so happy that you're here!

In about 2 and half hours, I'm going to be hopping in a cab and heading the airport for a weekend with my Utah family, specifically to celebrate my uncle's wedding. About half way though my shift tonight, I decided to pull an all-nighter. I mean, it seems kind of pointless to go to bed when I have to be up in 3 hours, right? Sound logic. I'm relying on Mad Men to keep me awake. Although I expect to be slightly sleep deprived tomorrow, I have faith that excitement and lots of coffee will get me though the day (and a good nap on the plane). Happy weekend!

Daily life...

Currently, I'm in the middle of a very busy work week. Since I work at night and it's been absolutely incredible outside, I've been making a point to enjoy my mornings and afternoons to their fullest. Wanted to share a few snapshots I've taken over the last few days.
One of my favorite spots, the Cambridge Public Library.
Blue Shoes!
Tom and my bike, Henry. Just got a new tubes, tires and chain. He rides like a dream! (talking about my bike)
Love.
One my all time favorite drinks: an extra spicy, extra delicious bloody mary. Yummmmmm.
Brunch @ 5 Horses in Davis.

Enjoy your weekend! xoxxo.
